Clube Desportivo e Recreativo Quarteirense, commonly known as Quarteirense, (CDRQ) is a Portuguese Football Club situated in the centre of Quarteira. The club was founded on 2 January 1937. Its home ground is the Estádio Municipal de Quarteira, which has a current capacity of 2,300.
Following promotion to the AF Algarve First Division in 2023, (The fifth tier of Portuguese football) the first team is progressing well, and currently pushing for promotion to tier four, and the Campeonato National League.
In 2014, the Club underwent a positive restructuring through a protocol agreement, transferring all existing rights to the Company (SAD) without requiring compensation. The Clube now holds a 15% minority shareholding in the SAD. The investors, through the vehicle of an Aggregate, having contributed share capital and additional financial support, hold 85% of the SAD shares. The investors play a vital role in facilitating and managing the Clube’s first and under 19 teams, fostering continued growth and development.
